Said agreement, as originally included in Communication No. 295/Resolution No. 85-99, was amended by increasing funding by $55,500. Cotso~~~~~ Acting Assistant Special Agent in Charge SUHJ: Amendments to the Letters of Agreement (LOA) - 1999 Funding Domestic Carurabis Eradication/Suppression Program (DCE/SP) Enclosed herewith is Amendment #1 to your 1999 LOA, which increases the funding for DCFJSP activities. The original documents (Amendment) and Standard Form 270 (two pages) must be completed ar.d signed by the head or your agency (or desigpee) and returned to this office promptly. Upon receipt of the amended funding allocations, Hawaii agencies will have realized all or most of the monies initially requested for 1999 DCEISP operations. Thesc funds must be expended by December 31, 1999. Please note that t e accounting of the amendment funds must be reported sere ar__,~__atelv,.from_the initial. fundin¢ se¢ment. As a reminds r, funding requirements by category were submitted for each grantee to include demand reduction allotments. A copy of your agency's cost breakdown is attached fox easy reference. Departm..~ of Justice Drub Enforcement Administration AMENDMENT TO THE LETTER OF AGREEMENT INCREASING AGREEMENTC NUMBER 99-38 AMENDMENT NUMBER 1 THIS AM£NI>MENT, dated June 15, 1999, to Letter of Agreement Number 99-38 between the Drug Enforcement E~dministration and tlae Hawaii County Police Department is for the purpose of INCREASING the amount of funds provided by the Drug Enforcement Administration to tht above state/county agency. Upon application and for good cause having been shown, the Drug Enforcement Administration agrees to provide the Iiawaii County Police Department with funds in the amount of Fifty-Eve Thousand Five Hundred ($55, 500) dollars in addition to the Two Hundred Thousand ($200,000) dollars originally agreed to in paragraph 2 of the Letter of Agreement to defray costs relating to the eraditation and suppression of marijuana. Total allocation for Lcttcr of Agreement Ir'umber 99-38 is now Two Hundred Fifty-five Thousand Five Hundred ($255,500) dollars.
