RE: Proposed Amendment to Resolution No. 295-17; A Resolution Requesting that
the Hawaii State Legislature Amend Chapter 92 of the Hawai`i Revised Statutes
to Require Itself to be Subject to the Sunshine Law.
Please see below proposed amendments to Resolution No. 295-17. The amendments are
illustrated below in Ramseyer format with respect to the contents of Resolution No. 295-17
(material to be added is underscored).
The BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED clause is amended to read as follows:
"BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of
this resolution to the Honorable David Y. Ige, Governor of the State of Hawai`i, the
Honorable Shan S. Tsutsui, Lieutenant Governor of the State of Hawaii, the Honorable
Ronald D. Kouchi, Hawai`i State Senate President, the Honorable Kaiali`i Kahele,
Hawai`i State Senator, the Honorable Russell E. Ruderman, Hawai`i State Senator, the
Honorable Josh Green, Hawai`i State Senator, the Honorable Lorraine R. Inouye,
Hawai`i State Senator, the Honorable Scott K. Saiki, Speaker of the House of
Representatives, the Honorable Richard P. Creagan, Hawai`i State Representative, the
Honorable Cindy Evans, Hawai`i State Representative, the Honorable Nicole E. Lowen,
Hawai`i State Representative, the Honorable Mark M. Nakashima, Hawai`i State
Representative, the Honorable Richard H.K. Onishi, Hawai`i State Representative, the
Honorable Joy A. San Buenaventura, Hawai`i State Representative, the Honorable Chris
Todd, Hawaii State Representative, and the Honorable Harry Kim, Mayor, County of
Hawai`i."
