RESOLUTION NO. 356 17
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PURCHASE MICROSOFT SQL SERVER
LICENSES TO UPGRADE THE LASERFICHE SOFTWARE AT THE OFFICE OF THE
PROSECUTING ATTORNEY.
WHEREAS, the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney needs to upgrade its Laserfiche
software so that it can integrate with the new case management system, LegalEdge Software; and
WHEREAS,to upgrade Laserfiche, the servers need to be upgraded first, which will
require new licenses for the Microsoft SQL Servers; and
WHEREAS, the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney is requesting funds to purchase new
Microsoft SQL Server licenses, which will allow for the Laserfiche upgrade and its integration
with the new case management system; now,therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
Contingency Relief funds from Council District 8 will be appropriated to the Office of the
Prosecuting Attorney to purchase Microsoft SQL Server licenses for the Laserfiche upgrade.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby
transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Prosecuting Attorney and Director of Finance, and that the Director of Finance
is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this
resolution.
