�,• . <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> • rE OF•H�'�_. <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 370 17 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND <br /> RECREATION FOR"START THE NEW YEAR RIGHT," A WELLNESS FAIR FOR <br /> THE SENIORS OF HAMAKUA. <br /> WHEREAS,the Department of Parks and Recreation, Elderly Activities Division, has <br /> identified the need for funds to provide a wellness fair for members of the Hamakua senior clubs <br /> and nutrition clubs, as well as for elderly housing residents; and <br /> WHEREAS, providing the elderly community with wellness resources improves their <br /> quality of life by addressing age-specific health issues, and has been proven helpful in preventing <br /> dementia and other chronic diseases; and <br /> WHEREAS, the "Start the New Year Right" wellness fair will bring seniors together to <br /> engage in health and wellness education and activities on January 30, 2018, at 10:00 a.m., at <br /> Aunty Sally Kaleohano's Luau Hale in Hilo; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Department of Parks and Recreation, Elderly Activities Division is <br /> requesting funding assistance for lunches, supplies, resources, and miscellaneous materials <br /> associated with the wellness fair; now,therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 1 will be appropriated to the Department of <br /> Parks and Recreation, Elderly Activities Division, for miscellaneous expenses associated with <br /> "Start the New Year Right" a wellness fair for the seniors of Hamakua. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />
