The reimbursements are for overtime incurred by officers working with the FBI's Safe Streets/Violent Crimes task force. Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating this $50,000 to the Police Department's Violent Crime Unit account. The Police Department is requesting that this bill be waived from Finance Committee and be placed on the November 2, 2017 Council agenda in order to expedite the receipt of these funds.
