There is no need to use styrofoam any longer now that we know its affect on marine and bird life and our natural environment. There are much healthier and better alternatives than to continue use of styrofoam. We have evolved past this - and make choices based on healthy communities and environment and reverence for life rather than the financial cost to vendors/businesses and consumers. As a consumer, I expect to pay more for supporting business and industry practices that create more rubbish and more harm to our beloved Hawaii Nei. As a voter, I expect elected officials and the bureaucrats appointed and hired to WANT to do the right thing, and put a stop to the very practices we know harm us and the life and natural beauty that we are so blessed to be a part of. We know better, so now let's do better. I urge to you to support the styrofoam ban and support Bill 13. Mahalo.
