Subject: RES 250-17 IS INHUMANE
To kill a pet species animal inhumanely is animal cruelty according to federal and state
law.
The proposed actions of Cyanotech are appalling. There are options available to them
which do not involve torturing an animal as it is crushed to death while enduring
unspeakable pain and agony.
There are numerous animal advocate groups who will work with Cyanotech, at no
charge, to help alleviate their "problem."
Hard to believe that the Aloha State proposes torturing the defenseless for the profits of
an international business. Cyanotech promotes "wildlife conservation" and according to
its states Code operates ina manner that is "environmentally responsible."
The use of lethal traps, especially when there are humane options, is a travesty.
I oppose the use of lethal traps by Cyanotech. Be humane. Respect the animals.
