Mayor Kim,then Mayor Kenoi, then Mayor Kim, again, saw the humanity and wisdom of
reducing the numbers of"feral" cats by trap-neuter-return. To allow an entity to KILL WITH
IMPUNITY, TO KILL WITHOUT EVEN SEEING WHAT THEY ARE KILLING, IS
WRONG, WRONG, WRONG.
At least with HUMANE trapping, you get to SEE & EVALUATE WHAT YOU HAVE
TRAPPED... IS IT A PET,IS IT EARTIPPED, WHAT IS IT...?
The type of trapping they are talking about here is INHUMANE and totally beyond
comprehension.
Has anyone thought about building exclosures around the birds to keep the "predators" out?
Has anyone considered that if you kill all the cats, the rats will proliferate, and THEY will eat
the eggs? Has ANYONE looked at the BIG PICTURE ???Killing off one (or two) species to
save another is NEVER a good idea.. ....It's not the first time that politicians have done the
wrong thing trying to save one species...with disaterous results.
PLEASE, be informed, Our visitors do not want to think of Hawaii Island as "the killing
place"

To kill a pet species animal inhumanely is animal cruelty-according to federal and state
law.
Cyanitech Hawaii produces microalgae and spirulina yet allows cats, mongoose and egrets to
