URGENT: OPPOSE RES 250-17 AS INHUMANE.
Please vote your opposition for this horrific resolution as cruel and
inhumane!
RES 250-17 allows Cyanotech entry to the Kealakehe waste water plant
to do animal control on "PREDATORS." These predators are CATS,
some appear to be abandoned PETS (as stated by Cyantech hired
exterminator). Additionally, MONGOOSE and cattle EGRETS are
targets for extermination. The lethal traps, Doc-250 works like a giant rat
trap and crushes the animal's head and/or shoulders to death. A pre-
charged pneumatic gun which shoots 30-40 rounds will be used on the
egrets. The egrets are "SUSPECTED" to be equally responsible for the
depredation of the nests coots and stilts.
To kill a pet species animal inhumanely is animal cruelty according
to federal and state law.
Cyanotech Hawaii would allow cats, mongoose and egrets to suffer a
horrible death.
This resolution MUST BE vehemently opposed!
