Your Committee on Economic Development , to which was referred
Resolution No . 474®88, regarding seeking approval for the permission
to moor the cargo sailing vessel "EDNA" in Kealakekua Bay, reports
as follows:
The purpose of Resolution No . 474088 is to support the request by
Deep Water Ventures, Ltd . to moor and refit their cargo sailing
vessel "EDNA" in Kealakekua Bay. A discussion arose on whether this
was allowable in a marine sanctuary such as Kealakekua Bay .
Mr . Greenwell stated there were other vessels presently using the
bay for this purpose and the "EDNA" had a mooring at Kawaihae but
wanted one in Kealakekua for convenience to the owner .
Your Committee on Economic Development concurs with Resolution
No . 474®88 and recommends its adoptiorL„ -
