Your Committee on Economic Development , to which was referred
Resolution No. 411-88, regarding an appeal to the House Committee on
Finance to approve Volcano Art Center 's request for funds , reports
as follows:
The purpose of Resolution No. 411-88 is to urge the Legislature to
approve a 50 ,000 request by the Volcano Art Center for a pilot
project that would preserve traditional Hawaiian crafts and arts and
offer the visitor industry a historical perspective of interpretive
skills .
Your Committee on Economic Development concurs with Resolution
No . 411-88 and recommends its adoption.
