RESOLUTION NO. 379 1'
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND
RECREATION'S SPORTS WORKSHOPS AND TRAINING CLINICS.
WHEREAS,the Department of Parks and Recreation, Recreation Division, is
coordinating sports workshops and training clinics throughout Hawai`i Island for athletes,
parents, coaches, officials, and volunteers; and
WHEREAS,the County of Hawai`i believes that youths participating in organized sports
programs tend to achieve higher results in school, develop excellent interpersonal skills, and lead
healthier lives; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is requesting funding assistance for
brochures, speaker fees, supplies, and other various expenses related to the sports workshops and
- training clinics; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
Contingency Relief funds from Council District 1 will be appropriated to the Department of
Parks and Recreation for its sports workshops and training clinics for athletes,parents, coaches,
officials, and volunteers.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby
transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

OUT AND FROM:
010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC—Contingency Relief $7,500
CREDITED TO:
010.500.5507.02 Department of Parks and Recreation $7,500

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and Director of Finance, and that the Director
of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of
this resolution.
