Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Bill No . 640 ,
regarding the rezoning request of Glenmore Trust Investment ,
Kailua Village , North Kona, Hawaii , TMK: 7-5-22 : 43 & 44 , reports as
follows:
Bill No . 640 amends Section 25-89, Article 3 , Chapter 25 of the
Hawaii County Code , by changing the district classification of
15 ,054 square feet of land from Multiple Family Residential (RM-1 ) to
Village Commercial (CV-7 . 5 ) .
The subject property is located in the Lono Kona Subdivision in
Kona . The applicant plans to construct a two-story office building
which will contain a total of approximately 8 , 316 square feet . An
off-street parking area for 26 cars will also be constructed .
The General Plan designates the property for Medium Density Urban
Use . Such a designation may allow Village Commercial uses as
proposed by the applicant . The State Land Use classification is
Urban.
Water and all essential utilities are readily available to the
property .
Your Committee on Planning is in accord with the intent and purpose
of Bill No . 640 and recommends that it pass first reading .
