Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Resolution
No . 483-88, regarding the naming of streets , reports as follows :
The purpose of this resolution is to name roadways in the
Kamuela Meadows Subdivision, Puukapu Homesteads , 2nd Series, Kamuela ,
South Kohala, Hawaii . The resolution names the roadways illustrated
in Exhibit "A" of the resolution, Noekolo Street , Nuuanu Street and
Pohina Street , which are translated as "creeping mist" , "cool
elevation or heights" and "misty" , respectively .
Pursuant to Chapter 22, Article 2, Section 2235, Hawaii County Code,
the County Council is authorized to adopt street names for
Hawaii County' s unnamed roadways .
Your Committee on Planning concurs with Resolution No. 483-88 and
recommends its adoption.
