Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Resolution
No . 466-88 , regarding the U. S. Navy ' s continued use of Kahoolawe for
target practice, reports as follows:
The purpose of Resolution No . 466-88 is to urge the U. S. Navy to
discontinue its use of Kahoolawe as a bombing target and to return
the island to the State of Hawaii , as provided for in Executive
Order 10436 .
Your Committee on Planning concurs with Resolution No. 466-88 and
recommends its adoption.
