Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Bill No . 468,
reports as follows :
Bill 468 amends Section 25-114 ,- Article 3 , Chapter 25 of the
Hawaii County Code , relative to the proposed Keawe Street/Kilauea
Avenue right-of-way width and by changing the district classification
from General Commercial ( CG-7,.5 ) and ( CG-20) , General Commercial
Safety (CG-S-7 .5 ) , Office Commercial (CO-20) and Multiple Family
Residential (RM-1 ) to Downtown Hilo Commercial ( CDH) at Ponahawai ,
Punahoa 1st, Punahoa 2nd and Piihonua, South Hilo, Hawaii , covered by
Tax Map Key: 2-3-plats 1 through 14.
Bill 468 passed first reading of the Council on January 18., 1988 and
was recommitted to the Planning Committee for further review.
Your Committee on Planning is now in accord with the intent and
purpose of Bill 468 and recommends that it pass second and final
reading.
