Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Communication
No . 1577 , reports as follows:
Communication No . 1577 reports on the Hawaii State Association of
Counties ' Executive Committee meeting held on April 8 , 1988 . Your
Committee notes that action is required on item D. , Proposed HSAC
Budget for Fiscal Year 1988-89 .
The budget for FY 1988-89 includes the National Association of
Counties (NACo ) assessments as proposed by the HSAC bylaw
amendments . In addition, the annual dues are assessed equally among
the four councils . In previous years, each county was responsible to
pay its own assessment directly to NACo .
Your Committee on Planning recommends that each county pay their
proportionate share of NACo assessments and that the HSAC annual dues
be adjusted accordingly amongst the four councils .
Your Committee on Planning further recommends that copies of this
committee report be forwarded to the Executive Committee of the
Hawaii State Association of Counties .

policy change , as it would benefit City and County, who has the
highest NACo assessment .

Your Committee on Planning further recommends that copies of this
committee report be forwarded to the Executive Committee of the
Hawaii State Association of Coun ies .
