Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Resolution
4o . 433-88, regarding Congressional legislation authorizing the
construction of a Veterans ' Administration Medical Center in Hawaii ,
reports as follows:
The purpose of Resolution No . 433-88 is to strongly support the
construction of a 165-bed free-standing Veterans ' Administration
hospital in Hawaii to meet theneeds of Hawaii ' s veterans by the
mid-1990 's , as proposed in legislation by U. S . Senator Spark
Matsunaga.
Your Committee on Planning concurs with Resolution No . 433-88 and
recommends its adoption .
