Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Resolution
No. 424-88 , regarding the naming of streets , reports as follows :
The purpose of this resolution is to name roadways in Haihai Meadows
and Waiakea Estates Subdivision. The resolution names the roadways
illustrated in Exhibit "A" of the resolution, Nou Street,
Hoolala Street and Hoolala Place, which are translated as, "Drenched ,
as with rain; moist and fragrant, as a flower in the rain or dew" ,
"To branch out ; to lay out land areas" , and "To branch out ; to lay
out land areas" , respectively.
Pursuant ArticleSection 2- 5 Hawaii County nt to Chapter 22 , 2 , S i n 2 3 , Coun y Code ,
the County Council is authorized to adopt street names for
Hawaii County ' s unnamed roadways .
Your Commitee on Planning concurs with Resolution No. 424-88 and
recommends its adoption .
