Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Resolution
No. 423-88 , regarding the naming of streets , reports as follows :
Theur ose of this resolution is to name roadways in
P P
Ala Kai Heights, Units 1-A and 1-B. The resolution names the
roadways illustrated in Exhibit "A" of the resolution Koele Street
and Puku Street , which are translated as "A small unit of land
cultivated by a tenant for his chief ; any work for a chief" and "To
gather together" , respectively .
Pursuant to Chapter 22 , Article 2 , Section 22-35 , Hawaii County Code ,
the County Council is authorized to adopt street names for Hawaii
County ' s unnamed roadways .
Your Committee on Planning concurs with Resolution No. 423-88 and
recommends its adoption .
