Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Communication
No . 1252 , regarding a report of the August 28 , 1987. meeting of the
HSAC Executive. Committee, reports as follows:
This communication provides a report on the HSAC -Executive Committee
meeting and requires Council action on item C . Request to change
NACo steering committee nomination, and item K. Goals and objectives
of HSAC.
With regard to the NACo steering committee nomination, action is
required on changing Councilmember Lorraine Jitchaku-Inouye ' s
nomination from the NACo Public Lands to the Community Development
Steering Committee. it was noted that a similar request to change
Councilmember Maxine Correa 's nomination is forthcoming .
With regard to the Goals and Objectives of HSAC , your Committee has
directed staff to' meet individually with Councilmembers to develop
the goals and objectives of HSAC .
Your Committee on Planning recommends approval of changing
Councilmember Jitchaku-Inouye ' s nomination from the NACo Public Lands
to the Community Development Steering Committee and recommends that a
copy of this report be forwarded to the Hawaii State Association of
Counties ' Executive Committee.
