Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Resolution
"No . 335-87 , regarding an amendment to Rule 4 of the Rules of
Procedure of the Council of the County of Hawaii , reports as follows:
The purpose of Resolution No. 335-87 is to amend Rule 4 (e ) of the
Council 's Rules of Procedure by adding the following sentence:
"When deemed advisable , the chairperson of the council in
consultation with the respective committee or subcommittee
ommittee
chairperson, may waive the referral (s ) to the affected
committee and refer the item(s ) to the council for appropriate
action . "

Your Committee on Planning concurs with Resolution No . 335-87 and
recommends its adoption . ,\
