Your Committee on planning, to which was referred Communication /1075 ,
reports as follows:
Communication 1075 is a report from the Executive Committee of the
Hawaii State Association of Counties ( HSAC) . The Executive Committee
is recommending that:
1 . Each county be responsible for and bear the cost
of all HSAC-related interisland travel for their
respective members and staff commencing July 1 ,
1987 .
2 . That HSAC establish a central records file , and
3. That HSAC approve the "concept" of having an
executive director and secretary for a trial period
of two years . (Trial period would commence with
the fiscal year 1988-89 . )
Acceptance of these recommendations will require amendments to the
By-Laws of the Association , as explained in Communication 1075 .
Your Committee on Planning recommends that the County Council support
the recommendations of the Executive Committee .
