Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Communication
/No . 1001, reports as follows :
Communication No . 1001 announces the following appointments to the
Kailua Village Design Commission:
Ms . Alfie R. Fujitani, to a one,-year term, to expire
December 31 , 1987 ;
Ms . Shirley D. Lewis, to a onei-year term, to expire
December 31 , 1987 ;
Ms . Gloria P. Bartolome, to a two-year term, to expire
December 31 , 1988 ;
Mr . R. Kelly Greenwell , to a two-year term, to expire
December 31 , 1988 ;
Mr . William L. Wong, to a two-year term, to expire
December 31 , 1988 ;
Ms . Fanny K. Au Hoy, to a three-year term, to expire
December 31 , 1989 ;
Mr . George Iwasaki , to a three-year term, to expire
December 31 , 1989 ;
Mr . Robert D. Triantos, to a threeL-year term to expire
December 31 , 1989 .
Your committee deferred action on the appointments at its meeting of
March 23 , 1987 , at the recommendation of Committee Chairman Takashi
Domingo . Chairman Domingo recommended deferral because he had been
advised that certain discrepancies existed in the appointment of one
of the commissioners . However , further research has revealed that
the appointment is in order .

These appointments are being made in accordance with the provisions
of Section 25-266, Hawaii County Code, as amended. Communication
No . 1001 's reference to Section 25-265 , Hawaii County Code, is in
error .
Your Committee on Planning recommends approval of the appointments of
Ms . Fujitani ; Ms. Lewis ; Ms . Bartolome ; Mr . Greenwell ; Mr . Wong ;
Ms . Au Hoy ; Mr . Iwasaki and Mr . Triantos to the Kailua Village Design
Commission .
