Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Resolution
No . 263-87 , reports as follows :
Resolution 263-87 supports the plans of the Veterans of the Vietnam
War , Inc . , Hawaii Post I, to construct a perpetual memorial in memory
of 43 Big Island men who gave their lives in the Vietnam crisis .
While this memorial will basically be a memorium to Vietnam Veterans ,
it can also serve as a tribute to those missing in action.
Your Committee on Planning concurs with Resolution No . 263-87 and
recommends its adoption.
