Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Bill No. 310, 1
regarding amendments to Chapter 25, Article 24 of the Hawaii County
Code, relating to the Kailua Village Special District and Urban
Design Review Commission, reports as follows :
The amendments proposed in Bill 310 will : (1 ) shorten the name of
the commission to Kailua Village Design Commission; ( 2) reduce its
membership from 14 to 9; ( 3) establish three-year staggered terms ;
and (4) limit reappointment .
Your Committee on Planning is in accord with the intent and purpose
of Bill No. 310 and recommends that it pass first reading.
