Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Resolution No. 216 ,
regarding low-flying aircrafts over Volcanoes National Park , reports
as follows:
The purpose of Resolution 216 is to lend support to Senator Spark M.
Matsunaga 's proposed legislation which will require the
U. S. Department of the Interior to conduct a study to determine the
appropriate minimum altitude for aircraft flying over our national
parks .
The Interior Department 's report will be made to Congress and will
include research on types of aircraft traffic and their impact on
various park resources .
Your Committee on Planning concurs with Resolution No. 216 and
recommends its adoption .
