Your Committee on Planning, at its meeting in Honokaa on
August 12, 1986, voted to recommend to the County Council that
Hawaii County host the Hawaii State Association of Counties ' mid-year
conference.
It was recently brought to the attention of your Committee that Kauai
had expressed a preference for Maui as the site of the conference and
Oahu had expressed a preference for Hawaii County. Hawaii County
will be the deciding vote.
The mid-year conference is tentatively scheduled to be held in Kona.
