Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred
'kesolution No . 132-86 regarding the Japanese government 's interest in
developing an international spaceport in the United States , reports
as follows :
The purpose of this resolution is to urge the President of the
United States to direct the Secretary of State and the
Acting Administrator of the National Aeronautics and Space
Administration to initiate talks with the Japanese government to
determine the nature and extent of Japan 's commitment to an
international space complex in Hawaii .
Your Committee on Planning concurs with Resolution No . 132-86 and
recommends its adoption .
