Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred
Resolution No . 116-86 regarding street names , reports as follows :
The purpose of this resolution is to name the roadway leading from
Lihiwai Street to the Coconut Island parking lot as illustrated in
Exhibit "A" of Resolution No. 11,6 -86 . The roadway is to be named
"Keliipio Place" , in honor of the family who were the first caretaker
of Coconut Island and lived in the area .
Pursuant to Chapter 22, Article 2, Section 22-35, Hawaii County Code ,
the County Council is authorized to adopt street names for Hawaii
County 's unnamed roadways .
Your Committee on Planning concurs with Resolution No. 116-86 and
recommends its adoption .
