No. 553/Bill No. 74 PLACE: Council Chambers Hilo, Hawai`i TIME: 11:12 a.m. Council Chair and Members Hawai`i County Council Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 74, reports as follows: Bill No. 74, transmitted by Finance Director Deanna Sako, via Communication No. 553 dated October 16, 2017, amends Ordinance No. 17-40, as amended,relating to public improvements and financing thereof for the Fiscal Year July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018. • This bill adds the Public Works Kalaniana`ole Avenue Improvements—Fair Share project for $400,000 to the Capital Budget. Funds for this project shall be provided from the Fair Share Contributions. Allows fair share funds in the South Hilo District to be used towards the project. Council Member Susan Lee Loy requested Finance Director Deanna Sako update the status report and advise the Council of available monies remaining relating to South Hilo fair share funds, to which Ms. Sako responded and said that Planning Department would be providing that information at the end of the calendar year. There was no discussion on this measure. Pursuant to Section 10-6(e) of the Hawai`i County Charter, at any time during the fiscal year, the Council,by ordinance adopted by the affinnative vote of at least two-thirds of the entire membership, may amend the budget for that year.
