SUBJECT: TRAFFIC CODE AMENDMENT:
KEAUKAHA ROAD – NEW ONE WAY TRAFFIC PATTERN
We request the Hawai'i County Code, Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 2 (Moving Vehicles),
Section 24-267, Schedule 15 (One way streets), paragraph (c) South Hilo be amended by
adding a new listing:
"KEAUKAHA ROAD, FROM KALANIANA`OLE STREET TO KAMOKUNA STREET."
The intent of this amendment is to increase the overall safety in and surrounding the area of
James Kealoha Beach Park by having all vehicular traffic move in the northwest direction.
