Re: A Resolution Authorizing the acquisition of private property by eminent domain
of Tax Map Key Number(3) 9-6-002-018, situated at Punalu`u—Pa`au`au,
District of Ka`u, County and State of Hawai`i, for the Pahala Wastewater
Treatment Plant
The County of Hawai`i will need to acquire private property and construct a wastewater
treatment plant in Pahala in order to comply with EPA regulations which requires the elimination
of large capacity gang cesspools.
We ask that this Resolution be placed on the appropriate committee agenda by the submission
deadline of noon on Wednesday,November 15, 2017.
A draft resolution is attached.
