Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 392-17, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 392-17, transmitted by Finance Director, Deanna S. Sako, via Communication
No. 579 dated October 26, 2017, authorizes the payment of funds of a later fiscal year and of
more than one fiscal year for a multi-year lease for one 600 kilowatt emergency generator.
This resolution authorizes the Mayor to enter into a five-year lease agreement at an estimated
monthly cost of$6,500. The equipment would be used by the Department of Environmental
Management, Wastewater Division, to power wastewater plants and larger sewer pump stations
during power outages. The County will own the equipment at the end of the lease.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 392-17,
and recommends its adoption.
