No. 572 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Kailua-Kona, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 9:21 a.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation,to which was referred <br /> Communication No. 572, reports as follows: <br /> Communication No. 572, transmitted by Mayor Harry Kim, dated October 25, 2017, nominates <br /> Ms. Carolle Brulee-Wilson to the Veterans Advisory Committee. Ms. Brulee-Wilson served in the <br /> United States Navy from 1982-1996 and was honorably discharged with medals. <br /> Ms. Brulee-Wilson has been a resident of Hawai`i for over 21 years and has volunteered her time with <br /> the Disabled American Veterans, Office of Veterans Services Advisory Board,Hilo Veterans Day <br /> Parade committee, and many others. <br /> Ms. Brulee-Wilson appeared in the Kailua-Kona Council Chambers and shared her experiences of <br /> actively seeking veterans at their homes and advocating for services and needs that the veterans were <br /> entitled to. She stated she is not affiliated with any political party. If confirmed, she will serve a term <br /> ending December 31, 2018. <br /> Several Council Members commented in favor of Ms. Brulee-Wilson.
