RE: Support for Bill 82 and Proposed Amendments
to Bill 82 Regarding Solid Waste Fees
The Department of Environmental Management proposes and supports Bill 82 and the proposed
amendments to Bill 82 submitted on December 1, 2017. The increase in tipping fees is necessary
to cover the increase in operating costs. There has not been a fee increase since 2007.
Thank you for your consideration of Bill 82 and the proposed amendments.
