RESOLUTION NO. 437 17.
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PURCHASE AND INSTALL WI-FI EQUIPMENT
AT THE PAHOA NEIGHBORHOOD FACILITY.
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation, Recreation Division through its
Pahoa Neighborhood Facility, will be providing the public with the ability to connect to internet
by using its Wi-Fi Access Point; and
' WHEREAS, the Department of Information Technology is responsible for managing and
operating the County's telecommunications network for all County departments; and also
coordinates purchases of equipment and software; and
WHEREAS, in order to give the public asscess to its Wi-Fi equipment, the Department
of Information Technology needs to purchase two wireless access points; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Information Technolgy has requested funds for two
Fortinet FortiAP 221C Wireless Access Points; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
Contingency Relief funds from Council District 5 will be appropriated to the Department of
Information Technology to purchase and install Wi-Fi equipment for the Pahoa Neighborhood
Facility.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby
transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Information Technology and Director of Finance, and that the
Director of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the
terms of this resolution.
