The regular meeting of the Committee on Public Safety and Mass Transit
ORDER:
was called to order at 9:48 a.m., in the Council Chambers, Hilo, by

Comm. 278: NOMINATION OF COLLEEN J. PASCO TO THE POLICE COMMISSION
From Mayor Harry Kim, dated April 27, 2017, submitting for the Council's
review and confirmation the above nomination.
Requires Council
Confirmation by: June 13, 2017 (Section 13-4(l),
Hawaii County Charter)

Motion to Approve: Mr. Kanuha moved to recommend confirmation of
the appointment of Ms. Colleen J. Pasco to the
Police Commission. Seconded by Ms. David.
Committee Members spoke in favor of the appointment.
Vote on Comm. 278: The motion to recommend confirmation of the appointment
(Approved) of Ms. Colleen J. Pasco to the Police Commission was
carried by the following voice vote:
Ayes: Committee Members Chung, David, Eoff,
Kanuha, Lee Loy, O'Hara, Poindexter, and
Chair Ruggles - 8.
Noes: None.
Absent: Committee Member Richards - 1.
Excused: None.
Comm. 279: NOMINATION OF ANDI PAWASARAT-LOSALIO TO THE LIQUOR
CONTROL ADJUDICATION BOARD
From Mayor Harry Kim, dated April 27, 2017, submitting for the Council's
review and confirmation the above nomination.
Requires Council
Confirmation by: June 13, 2017 (Section 13-4(l),
Hawaii County Charter)
Motion to Approve: Mr. Kanuha moved to recommend confirmation of
the appointment of Ms. Andi Pawasarat-Losalio to the
Liquor Control Adjudication Board. Seconded by
Ms. David.
Committee Members spoke in favor of the appointment.
Vote on Comm. 279: The motion to recommend confirmation of the appointment of
(Approved) of Ms. Andi Pawasarat-Losalio to the Liquor Control
Adjudication Board was carried by the following voice vote:
Ayes: Committee Members Chung, David, Eoff,
Kanuha, Lee Loy, O'Hara, Poindexter, Richards,
And Chair Ruggles - 9.
