RE: Resolution No. 100-99 authorizing the Office of the Mayor to enter into an
agreement with the State Department of Transportation, through its Highway
Safety Program, for a Highway Safety Project Reimbursement Grant for the
purchase of extrication tools for use by the Hawaii County Fire Department.
During the Committee on Finance meeting of June 22, 1999, you questioned where the
extrication tools, as referenced in the aforementioned measure, would be stationed. According to
the Fire Department administration, the four tools will be placed at the Waiakea, Waikoloa,
Kailua-Kona, and Honokaa stations.
