RE: Bill for an Ordinance Amending the Operating Budget by Appropriating
Revenues for the Purchase of Extrication Tools.
In reference to the aforementioned measure, Resolution No. 100-99, which authorized the Mayor
to enter into an agreement with the Department of Transportation, State and Community
Highway Safety Program for the purchase of these tools, was approved by the Council on July 8,
1999.
In addition, during the Committee on Finance meeting of June 22, 1999, Mr. Tyler questioned
where the extrication tools, as referenced in the aforementioned measure, would be stationed.
According to the Fire Department administration, the four tools will be placed at the Waiakea,
Waikoloa, Kailua-Kona, and Honokaa stations.
