Dear Chairwoman Poindexter and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate John R. Repogle to the Hawai'i County Windward
Planning Commission for the Ka'u district. Mr. Repogle is currently employed as a
Field Coordinator for The Nature Conservancy.
Mr. Repogle was born and raised on Hawai'i Island. He is a graduate of Ka'u High
School and earned a BA degree in History from Parsons College in Iowa and an AS
degree in Food Service from Hawai'i Community College -West Hawai'i.
Mr. Repogle is active in his community having served as past.President of Ka O'hana 0
Honu'apo, past member of Na Ala Hele Advisory Board and current member of Halau
Ohi'a.
Mr. Repogle is a registered Democrat. If confirmed, he will serve a term ending

December 31, 2021.
