The funds are to purchase speed detection <br /> equipment. <br /> • <br /> Enclosed is a resolution to authorize the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the State <br /> Department of Transportation Public Affairs– Safe Community Program for this grant. Also <br /> enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating $61,000 for <br /> this grant. <br /> The Police Department requests that this bill be waived from the Finance Committee and be placed <br /> on the January 4, 2018 Council Agenda in order to expedite the receipt of these funds.
