Dear Chair Poindexter and Council Members:
RE: Communication 654, nomination of Brent Norris to the Puna Community
Development Plan (CDP) Action Committee
At this time, I am rescinding my nomination of Brent Norris to the Puna Community
Development Plan (CDP) Action Committee, which was submitted to you in my letter
dated December 14, 2017.
Mr. Norris notified my office that an unforeseen medical issue of a family member will
now place him off-island for one month but he remains committed to serving on the
Committee if confirmed. Therefore, I will hold the selection of Mr. Norris and plan to
resubmit his nomination at a later time to afford him the opportunity to appear in-person
before Council.
Thank you for your cooperation and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have
caused.
