M�7 <br /> \a+-ii; <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 461 18 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO THE WEST HAWAII <br /> VETERANS CEMETERY DEVELOPMENT AND EXPANSION ASSOCIATION, INC., <br /> TO PURCHASE 10 TELESCOPING FLAGPOLES. <br /> WHEREAS, the West Hawai`i Veterans Cemetery Development and Expansion <br /> Association, Inc., (WHVCDEA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization consisting of veteran <br /> organizations, individual veterans, and citizens that have organized and facilitated numerous <br /> projects at the County's West Hawai`i Veterans Cemetery-Pu`u Ho`omaha 0 Na Po`e Koa 0 <br /> Hawai`i Komohana(WHVC) in honor of our veterans; and <br /> WHEREAS, 25-foot, telescoping flagpoles were purchased about 10 years ago for <br /> WHVC and more than half are now broken; and <br /> WHEREAS, WHVCDEA has requested funds to purchase 10 telescoping flagpoles to <br /> replace the existing ones at WHVC; and <br /> WHEREAS,pursuant to Section 2-139 a 2 A of the Hawai`i County Code, <br /> Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br /> resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program,project, event, activity, <br /> service, equipment,materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 8 will be appropriated to the Department of <br /> Parks and Recreation to provide a grant to WHVCDEA to purchase 10 telescoping flagpoles for <br /> WHVC. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />
