••SSV OF Hyp . <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> t SMO <br /> Off._l ��'♦ <br /> rrE•OF•NPS''• <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 477 is <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A MONETARY <br /> DONATION OF $868 TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND <br /> RECREATION <br /> WHEREAS, Polynesian Adventure Tours, LLC is donating $868 to the <br /> Department of Parks and Recreation; and <br /> WHEREAS, these funds will be used for the Pana'ewa Rainforest Zoo & <br /> Gardens; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides <br /> that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, <br /> securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate, <br /> and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawaii County Code states that <br /> any gifts or donations of money, securities, or personal property which fall within the <br /> capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance, may be accepted by <br /> Resolution approved by the Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Department of Finance has requested that <br /> cash donations of any amount be recorded and accepted through the formal <br /> Resolution process; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation recommends the <br /> acceptance of this donation; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in <br /> accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, and <br /> Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawai`i County Code, the Council of the <br /> County of Hawaii accepts this donation. <br />
