RESOLUTION NO. 484 18
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO THE RODEO ARENA
AT THE PANA`EWA EQUESTRIAN CENTER.
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation's Pana`ewa Equestrian Center
provides the public with recreational access to the rodeo arena and grounds, as well as a venue
for annual equestrian events; and
WHEREAS, to continue providing this public service, the Department of Parks and
Recreation is requesting funds to purchase cinder, plywood, cattle pen gates, and other
miscellaneous materials and supplies needed for maintenance and safety improvements at the
rodeo arena; now,therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
Contingency Relief funds from Council District 9 will be appropriated to the Department of
Parks and Recreation for improvements to the rodeo arena at the Pana`ewa Equestrian Center.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby
transfers/appropriates the folloing amount as set forth below:

Improvements)
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and Director of Finance, and that the Director
of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of
this resolution.
