CALL TO The regular meeting of the Committee on Public Works and Parks and
ORDER: Recreation was called to order at 10:09 a.m., in the Council Chambers, Hilo,
by Ms. Jennifer Ruggles, Chair.
ROLL CALL:

CHR. RUGGLES: We'll move to Resolution 450-18, Mr. Clerk.

Res. 450-18: ACCEPTS THE DEDICATION OF ROADWAY LOT G, IDENTIFIED AS
TAX MAP KEY: 2-4-084:056, SITUATED AT WAIAKEA, DISTRICT OF
SOUTH HILO, ISLAND AND COUNTY OF HAWAII, STATE OF
HAWAII FROM HILO TWO, LLC, A HAWAII LIMITED LIABILITY
CORPORATION
The roadway lot would be used for public road purposes
Reference: Comm. 657
Intr. by: Ms. Ruggles (B/R)
Motion to Approve: Ms. David moved to recommend adoption of Res. 450-18.
Seconded by Ms. Lee Loy.
(Note: At this time, Deputy Corporation Counsel Ronald Kim and
Mr. Robert Williams, Developer for Hilo Two, LLC, came forward to
address the members of the Committee.)
CHR. RUGGLES: We have Public Works here. Oh no, looks like we have
Corporation Counsel here. Mr. Ron Kim, thank you for being here, if you have
any questions. Okay, seeing none, I actually have one question about this. Oh,
excuse me, Ms. Lee Loy.
MS. LEE LOY: Yeah, thank you. I really don't really have a question, other than
this is in my district. It's a really great new subdivision in an area that's really
ready for it. Surrounded by a lot of residential—other residential uses. And then,
close to other commercial schools. It really is a great fit. I'm really looking
forward a lot of new homeowners in that district. So, I yield at this time.
CHR. RUGGLES: Thank you. This might be a question that you can answer,
Ms. Lee Loy. Is this roadway Lot G up to dedicable standards?
MS. LEE LOY: Yes, I've driven it.
CHR. RUGGLES: Oh, okay.
MS. LEE LOY: A few people who actually are buying lots inside there. But I'll
leave that to the developer and our Corporation Counsel. Thank you.
MR. WILLIAMS: Chair Woman, roadway Lot G was approved by the
Department of Public Works and it has been accepted as dedicable. So, there's a
letter from Public Works, and that was given that was before Corp. Counsel
moved this forward.

MR. KIM: Oh, excuse. I'm sorry. My name is Robert Williams. I'm part of
Hilo Two, LLC.
CHR. RUGGLES: Okay, great. Thank you. Is there any more discussion or
questions? Okay, all those in favor please say "aye."
The motion to recommend adoption of Res. 450-18 was
was carried by the following voice vote:
Ayes: Committee Members David, Eoff, Kanuha,
Lee Loy, O'Hara, Poindexter, and Chair Ruggles — 7.
Noes: None.
Absent: Committee Members Chung and Richards — 2.
Excused: None.
(There were none.)
CHR. RUGGLES: May I have a motion to adjourn?
ADJOURN- There being no further business, at 10:13 a.m., Ms. Poindexter moved to adjourn
MENT: the meeting. Seconded by Ms. David and carried by the following voice vote:
