Dear Chair Poindexter and Council Members: '
It is my pleasure to nominate Gilbert Juan Aguinaldo to the Windward Planning
Commission.
Mr. Aguinaldo is a self-employed licensed contractor. He graduated from Hawaii
Community College with an Associate of Science degree.
Active in the Puna community, Mr. Aguinaldo serves as a member of the Pahoa
Steering and Design Committees and has been a sponsor of the Pahoa Holiday
Parade. He also provided assistance with tree removal on streets within the Puna
district following the damage left from Tropical Storm Iselle in 2014.
Mr. Aguinaldo was born and raised and is a lifetime resident of Pahoa. He states that he
is not a member of any political party.
If confirmed, Mr. Aguinaldo will serve a term to expire on December 31, 2022.
