Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation,to which was referred
Resolution No. 471-18, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 471-18, transmitted by Deputy Corporation Counsel Ronald Kim, via
Communication 690 dated January 2, 2018, requests the approval of the Dedication Deed from
Kaomalo LLC to the County of Hawai`i.
Kaomalo LLC, a Hawai`i Limited Liability Company, is the fee simple owner of those certain
roadway parcels of land for Luala`i Phase 1, situated at Lalamilo and Waikoloa, District of South
Kohala, Island and County of Hawai`i, State of Hawai`i,being Roadway Lots 58, 59 and 60,
identified as Tax Map Key: (3) 6-7-003:109 (por.).
Kaomalo is desirous of dedicating the above roadway and all improvements thereon to the County
of Hawai`i for roadway purposes, and the roadway and improvements have been inspected and
approved by the Department of Public Works, and received dedication approval from the
Department of Water Supply, the Planning Department and the Department of Environmental
Management.
Favorable public testimony was received in the Kona.Council Chambers. There was no other
discussion on this matter.
Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation is in accord with the purpose and
intent of Resolution No. 471-18, and recommends its adoption.
