B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
Currently there remains cases in the State data bank that have no disposition. There are many reasons that
the cases were not finalized. The Hawaii Criminal Data Justice Center is requesting our assistance in
researching the cases that have no disposition and report to them what the findings are. We have estimated
the amount of time it would take to research and document the findings.
The Hawaii Criminal Data Justice Center, which is part of the Attorney General's office, which is part of the
State, is now willing to pay the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney, towards the overtime costs, up to $3,000
